Great productReview by JJ
I bought this shear in addition to the Titan tree puller. Both have been a great product. I'm able to shear trees within an inch from the ground. So far I've cleaned 50 acres of CRP land that hasn't been mowed for 25 years. It was far cheaper for me to buy these products than to hire someone to clear the land. (Posted on 5/18/2017)
Well built tree shearReview by JD Precision
I just recieved my tree shear at 1:30pm on 3/6/2017. Took it out of the crate hooked it up to the skid loader and went to try it out. Was more than I had expected it to do. Very Happy with it. Will follow with pictures. Thanks (Posted on 3/6/2017)
Kicking myself for not getting it soonerReview by Little t
I bought this to aid in clearing several 20 acres of mesquites, junipers and persimmon trees. I was initially worried that my Kubota L4740 would not be enough to handle the weight and flow for the shear using hoses from the rear remotes, but I've got power and flow to spare. I cut about 120 trees and got them over to the burn pile in one weekend. If I had bought this 2 years ago I'd be done clearing. It goes through 8-10 inch trees like a hot knife through butter. I even kicked it vertical and cut the mesquite trunks into firewood length. Great quality. Exceeded my expectations. (Posted on 12/7/2015)
Sturdy heavy duty implimentReview by Coyote Machine
This shear works well on my 40HP tractor. It shears trees like butter, though it is probably better on a skid steer due to jaw cycle time with the higher flow on a skid steer than a tractor.
Works as intended, but I thing a 12" diameter tree would be a stretch. I've cut up to 9 1/2" trees so far in the last week of use.
I think it would work better than the smaller cylinder version, for the extra money. That's why I got the 5" cylinder HD shear. (Posted on 11/17/2015)

Question: Is this shear capable of quartering semi tires?

From David at Apr 29, 2017

Question: 1. I have a Kubota M9540 which has skid steer quick dis/connect for bucket. Will this 12" shear hook up the same as my bucket would?
2. I have two female hydraulic ports on FEL that I use for the grapple I have. I noticed in the picture that your unit has one male and one female quick dis/connect. Can I get both Male fittings or is there a reason for the unit to have one male and one female unit?
3. How thick is the blade? I have been looking at units that have 1" thick blades.
4. If I decide to order, how can I be assured that the unit would be plug and go ready when I receive it; hydraulic connections, hoses, etc.?
5. How low to the ground will it cut? Does it leave stumps? if so, how tall are the stumps?
6. Can I still get the 5% discount if ordered by phone. There's a pop up that states if I sign up for email notifications that I could get 5% discount on my order.
7. Could you send me answers to my email address as well as posting it?
Thanks for your time.

Question: I have a Kubota L3800 38 HP 6.3 GPM flow rate. Will this run the shear?

Answer: Yes, you should be able to operate the Tree Shear with your Kubota L3800.

From Ryan Pafford at Jan 2, 2017

Question: I have a Case IH 65A with a Case L540 Loader. Do I have enough hydraulic flow to operate this at max flow and will it connect without have to build or buy an adapter?

(I read the the lower pins need to be 32-35" however I'm unable to quickly measure this as my tractor and land are an hour and half away.)

Answer: Ryan,

Our 12" Tree Shear does not require a high-flow hydraulic system, and your machine (with 10 GPM pump flow) should have no issues operating this attachment.

The connection system this attachment uses is commonly referred to as the "Skidsteer Quick Attach" system and is compatible with pin settings within 20.5 - 24.5 (inside slot) or 28.5 - 37.5 (outside slot)

Question: I would like to know where your equipment is made and where does the materials come from?

Answer: This product is made overseas.

From Bill at Oct 20, 2016

Question: Will the tree shear work with a Massey Ferguson 1540 tractor, 1525 front end loader with skid steer attachment.? Assuming enough flow rate, what modifications to the tractor's hydraulic system would be required, since all four hoses are used by the front end loader?

Answer: As long as you have the skid steer style mount and the bottom pins are between 32"-35" center to center, then this will work perfectly!

From Marvin at Oct 2, 2016

Question: Will a 95 hp Kabota with loader power the shear and also is the head rotated from vertical to horizontally manually?

Answer: Your hydraulics will power the shear. Yes it rotates manually.

From Gary Cots at Sep 29, 2016

Question: Is there a flat grabber option that can be swapped with the cutting blade to use as a tree puller?

Answer: We do not offer an grabber option that can be swapped at this time however we do offer a Tree Puller attachment which can be found at the link below.

From ED at Sep 9, 2016

Question: I want to use a tree shear and a grapple at the same time. Is there any way to mount the grapple on the front end loader, and the tree Shear on the 3 point hitch, so that I can shear from the rear and then turn around and pick up from the front?

Answer: The tree shear only comes with a universal skid steer style hookup.

From ED at Sep 8, 2016

Question: How close to the ground will it cut the tree? Will the stump be high enough that it will tear up my brush hog?

Answer: This tree shear will cut close to flush with the ground. The rotating shear head will sit at an slight upward angle when in the horizontal position, but with an angle of your loader arms it should be able to cut at ground level.
